Stupid Deep!
"What if who I hoped to be was always me?
And the love I fought to feel was always free?
What if all the things I've done, yeah
Were just attempts at earning love? Yeah
'Cause the hole inside my heart is stupid deep
Stupid deep
What if where I've tried to go was always here?
And the path I've tried to cut was always clear?
Why has life become a plan, yeah
To put some money in my hand?
When the love I really need is stupid cheap
Stupid cheap".
- Jon Bellion
In life, we always run for something all the time. During different periods of life, we get fascinated with different things. At a very young age, we might want something which may be very ridiculous for others who are not of our age, who are elder. But we want that and we can't explain how we become happy when we get it. During adolescence, we are in a different state of mind where we can see rainbows everywhere without even rain and sunshine.
Likewise, a human being always wants something, which he may not get all the time. Most of the time after we get whatever we were longing for, we can't enjoy that thing. We simply think where's that excitement or joy, we were hoping to have after getting this. This joy, excitement, happiness etc. is like a rainbow surfaced bubble which is floating on our sweet imagination. Once we get what we want then the bubble gets burst and the enthusiasm is over.
It happens with everyone. For instance, on working days we imagine the relaxation of vacation or Sundays and when we actually get holidays, we get bored and try to get some entertainment in order to make ourselves happy.
In short, we always find something which we think, we don't have and getting that "something" will make us happy. But still after getting that why we don't get that happiness?
Our emotions, feelings, reactions, ideas and everything emerge from within, we see everything outside that's a relaxion projected within; we understand everything within, we experience everything within.
Happiness is inside us, we are finding it outside, we try to find it in our relations, in some activities, in entertainment but it is there only, inside us. These days we can't stay without our mobile phones, it should not be on low charging, there should be Internet access all the time, there should be enough memory, space etc. Why so? What will we do without it? For work purposes, it makes sense but if it is for entertainment only, it is pathetic that we can't stay without it.
If we can't bear our own company, our own thoughts or our own nonsense which our mind is projecting then who else will be happy to be with us?
So, for whatever we are running for or finding outside, we can get inside us. Most of the answers we can get doing a genuine Introspection.
